The Beckhoff TwinCAT bus control is utilized to achieve online synchronous cutting of structural steel. The production line comprises sections for variable frequency traction conveyance and servo components for trimming. In the trimming section, the system tracks and synchronously cuts different-sized steel tube products that meet length or phase requirements, with a phase error precision controlled within ±0.5mm. The system collects speed and position information from the production line, using it as the main axis for synchronous tracking. This application falls under the typical use of flying shear, and therefore, Beckhoff’s flying saw control is employed. The entire motion process is meticulously planned and monitored, taking into account factors such as servo performance and load inertia through rigorous mathematical calculations.
